Company History
St. Tammany Parish Hospital is a fully accredited, not-for-profit, community hospital. We are the facility of choice in the community and surrounding areas as verified by our patient, physician and employee satisfaction surveys. As the first hospital in Covington, we opened our doors December 1, 1954, as a small rural facility with 16 beds. Since that time St. Tammany Parish Hospital has grown to a 237 bed full-service, acute care hospital.
